SEDGE WREN

Family Troglodytidae

Wrens feed primarily on insects.  Some species sing throughout the year, not only during mating season.  The songs of some species vary throughout their geographic distribution.

Sedge wrens are very vocal and can produce more than a hundred different songs.  They inhabit grassy marshes where they feed on insects and spiders.
